The students will assist graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in conducting lab experiments on bioremediation and chemical reduction (using nanoscale zero valent iron) for treating contaminated groundwater. The work will take place in the Civil Engineering Environmental Engineering Lab and Biozone.
The students should have developed expertise in a variety of lab methods including molecular biology techniques and techniques for analysis of chemical contaminants in water. The students will be expected to contribute to research papers prepared for submission to peer reviewed journals.
