Automating an Atmospheric Observatory
The student will work on automating a dome that houses an atmospheric observatory that measures greenhouse gases. The dome will open and close based on weather information, and will rotate to point toward the sun throughout the day. This observatory will be part of a network of instruments designed to assess greenhouse gas emissions from the Greater Toronto Area.
Students will prepare an oral presentation and a final written report. Codes should be well documented, under revision control, and posted on bitbucket, and a lab book or similar should be kept for reference for subsequent projects.
