Sediment Characteristics of Clogging Materials in Permeable Interlocking Concrete Pavements

Student will conduct field work to collect samples of joint material from Permeable Interlocking Concrete Pavements within the GTA. Collected material will be analyzed for gradation and cohesion.
Expectations
A Standard Operating Proceedure for sampling PICP joints. This will be shared with Canadian and American industry partners to conduct a Canada/USA-wide survey of PICP pavements. Summary report for GTA samples. Student will have to complete WHIMS and will work with small amounts of chemicals in a lab environment.
Time commitment
3-5 hours per week
Credentials
A G licence is necessary to complete field work. A minimum of a 3.0 GPA, Geotech or Soils background is a positive (but not necessary).
