Improving the Use of Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) to Control Algal Byproducts during Drinking Water Treatment
Civil Engineering
The objective of this project is to understand the underlying mechanisms of granular activated carbon (GAC) process in the drinking water treatment plant. At the end of this research program, the intent is to have a solid database of experimental data that establishes the boundaries of operational conditions that allows GAC to last much longer than currently thought possible.
