Disinfection by-products from combined ultraviolet light and chlorine in drinking water treatment

We are currently working on a project to understand the disinfection by-product formation during UV/chlorine advance oxidation, a water treatment process combining high levels of ultraviolet light and chlorine. The student's work will largely be in the lab measuring the concentrations of these by-products.
Expectations
Student must work well independently. Student will have to complete WHMIS.
Time commitment
3-5 hour(s) per week
Credentials
Student should have sincere interest in pursuing a career in environmental engineering, and sincere interest in applying to a thesis-based graduate program. Minimum of 3.0 GPA is required.
